She phoned the company on my behalf and dealt with the customer service adviser politely yet firmly. After 30 mins without a result she escalated my issue to a formal complaint, asked that the call be logged and sent to the Chief Executive's Department and requested a response within 5 working days. Within the week I received a phone call with a full apology from the company backed up by a written letter from the CEO Department admitting that they were entirely at fault and that there was no money owing.
